My entire life I’ve been a very vivid dreamer.
During my competitive Judo years,
I would dream constantly about throwing people.
After my knee injury, these dreams didn’t stop.

and
driving my legs underneath his center of gravity launching him into the air.
The excitement of the dream would wake me up…
and the reality of my situation would hit me hard.
I would feel the tweak of pain in my knee,
then the throbbing and aching…
The frustration of not being able to get back to sleep was barely eclipsed by how my knee felt.
