I myself have a torn ACL in my left knee and have experienced my knee dislocating over and over again. I was told I only had two choices: 1) do nothing and be terrified it would happen over and over again, or 2) have knee surgery. After going through the surgery and 3 months of physical therapy, I STILL had pain in my knee and the rest of my body. I did everything I was supposed to, I just wanted to be able to play Judo again.
