Hey bill,
I've been doing the "roman chair" against the wall exercise where you sit with your back against the wall. I do them every other day. Breathing in and then out along with the side to side moves.
I'm able to run about 75 yards now with no ill after effects and I haven't worn an ace bandage for several months! As I move and walk my knees are less and less on my mind. These exercises are really working!
I've added the sit back to your heels last week. I still can't make it all the way back but I’m pretty close already. Pretty quick progress on this.
The steadying with the chairs really helped on this one.
I hope to reach a point of running without hindrance and not notice my knees feeling strong and fluid.
Thanks for your help and support bill.
Best regards,

Nigel

Hey Bill,
Question program quite unique...you are really good with the techno.
Progress update on my knees: last Saturday I was providing music for the 12 hour relay for life event at Doss High School. It was outside at their 1/4 mile track where participants were walking laps in honor of their cancer victim/survivor loved ones.
I decided to trot off and see just how far I could run around the track. You may recall that I've been doing your exercises and running on my meadow up to 150 yards or so. Surprisingly I made it all the way around the track and then did it 2 more times during the night! It seems that my run on the meadow was on a slight uphill grade and had really given me more strength and endurance than apparent. The next day there was no swelling! This is wonderful. My 3 year goal was to run a mile but it looks like this will happen sooner.
Thanks and best regards,

Nigel

Dear Bill,
It is always so inspiring for me to read your brief recommendations or notes. I wrote some time ago to thank you but the fact that I am in South Africa, makes it impossible to tend any of your presentations. However, just by reading your notes, and to feel that there is someone out there that understands, makes it a little better.
I injured my knee 3 years ago. Jan 2009 I eventually (!) had an operation - the meniscus looked like a sea anemone – completely torn. They cut all out apart from small piece on each side so that the bones do not touch each other. However, I still suffer severe swelling & pain. My left leg’s muscles now started deforming due to the excess load it has to carry. It is very painful. One just gets a little despondent if you battle for so long. I realize I need to be grateful that I at least have a leg to pain!
I will be paying medical bill for the next 3 years & still cannot walk. I will have to obtain physiotherapy to help the left leg. And go back for medical attention to my knee. But your correspondence helps me to keep my emotions intact. Which– from time to time – is worse than the actual pain.
Thank you again,

July 26, 2009 Bill... Thank you very much for your good advice I am learning to know the Drill. R.I.C.E. What was so amazing to learn that the body requires a lot of water after injury to flush out the old damaged or injured cells to be replaced by the new ones. Thank you for your kind attention,

David

August 9, 2009 I hurt my left knee during a 5k race and wound up in the emergency room on race day. Bummer! At first I couldn't even put my toe on the ground without wincing in pain - it was affecting my whole leg and I was really discouraged.

By the time I met Bill, I had already been on crutches for 3 weeks. I could put my foot on the ground, but I still couldn't stand with equal balance on my left leg - let alone walk on it and put weight on it. It hurt so much.

Bill and I met at a 3-day seminar in Los Angeles and he told me that by the end of the event, I'd be walking without my crutches. I was kind of skeptical, but I was also desperate for relief because nothing else had worked for my knee pain, so I decided to rest into his expertise.

Bill was right!

Within just a few short adjustments over a couple of days, I was able to walk around my hotel room without my crutches and without excruciating pain. I was walking to the hotel restroom from the meeting room without my crutches too. It was awesome.

Bill gave me back my active lifestyle and I'm so glad I met up with someone who knew so much about making knee pain go away. Now I can ride my bike painlessly, go shopping, enjoy walking around art festivals, and I'm getting back into jogging again too.
